THERE IS NO RISK TO THE PUBLIC
CBC news December 8, 2022:
"Woman dead, suspect arrested after stabbing in Surrey" = woman killed by man
"Officers said the two people knew each other" = he was her husband/boyfriend/ex
"There is no risk to the public." = unless you're a woman
In 2020, 160 females were violently killed in Canada, according to a report published by the Canadian Femicide Observatory for Justice and Accountability (CFOJA) at the University of Guelph. On average, that's one woman or girl killed every 2.5 days. Men caused over 90% of these deaths.
This violence is not gender-based, it's male-based.
But we don't seem to want to say that.
